Delabole wind farm: Britain's first commercial wind farm has reopened after a multi-millionpound redevelopment which will double its potential output. The Cornish site opened in 1991 with ten turbines standing at 164ft. It now has four more turbines standing at 325ft, which harness wind more effectively. The potential electricity generated will more than double to 9.2 megawatts - enough to power 7,000 homes.
